CONTRACT TYPE: One-year fixed term contract. _(The post may be
extended, dependent on success and further funding.)_

LOCATION:?Hybrid/flexible working. Offices based in Dublin 2. Some
travel will be required.

SALARY:?The salary is aligned to the HSE pay scales and will be

ABOUT THE ROLE

WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT A SUITABLY QUALIFIED NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
LEAD TO advance AACPI?s work in THE DEVELOPMENT OF CLINICAL
STANDARDS and increasing the capacity of the community-based
counselling and psychotherapy sector in Ireland. The National
Development Lead will achieve this through extensive consultation and
engagement with AACPI members and the wider sector.

You will be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, and
relationship builder, who is committed to an Ireland where
high-quality low-cost counselling and psychotherapy is accessible to
all through community-based services.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO & Board of
Directors in developing the clinical capacity and standards of
excellence in the sector. The National Development Lead will work with
our members and similar community-based counselling services across
Ireland to understand services, identify challenges, advise and
support on clinical issues, and support in the development of a
roadmap for the advancement of the sector as a whole.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CLINICAL STANDARDS & MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT:

* Review and update AACPI?s existing quality and standards
framework; support to develop the ?gold standard? for
agency/community-based counselling & psychotherapy.
* Liaise with and support AACPI members on clinical matters; develop
the capacity of members to meet the highest clinical standards.
* Facilitate networking and information sharing and promotion of
clinical best practice and quality standards across AACPI membership.
* Oversee and monitor the members? standards on an ongoing basis.
* Undertake a training and skills needs assessment of AACPI members
and facilitate the delivery of clinical training opportunities.
* Manage day-to-day clinical queries from members.

INFORMATION GATHERING:

* With the support of the CEO, conduct a mapping exercise of existing
services and standards in the agency/community-based counselling &
psychotherapy sector across Ireland.
* Contribute to the production of an AACPI report and implementation
plan, including full analysis, findings and recommendations for the
enhancement of clinical standards in community/agency-based
counselling in Ireland.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:

* Support AACPI in the pursuance of its wider strategic, funding and
operational goals including development and implementation of the new
strategic plan.
* Develop a robust system of office record keeping and file
management.
* Support in the development of in-house operational and change
management procedures.
* On occasion, to caretake the day-to-day administration of the
organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

The successful candidate should possess the following?qualifications,
skills & experience:

* Be a fully accredited Psychotherapist/Counselling
Psychologist/Supervisor with a recognised body.
* Have a minimum of five years? experience working as a fully
accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist/Clinical Supervisor/Clinical
director/Clinical?Manager/CEO.
* A Masters qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent knowledge and keen interest in clinical and ethical
governance in counselling & psychotherapy and the
not-for-profit/charities sector.
* Excellent communication, writing and report writing skills and the
ability to establish rapport with a diverse range of people. Fluency
in English (written and verbal).
* Strong project management and people management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
* Interest in client management software/ICT in counselling &
psychotherapy. Highly proficient in Microsoft office applications.
* Full drivers? license, with access to car.
